Revolutionizing Intensive Care with Digital Health Solutions
Clinomic, a health technology company based in Germany, is dedicated to developing advanced digital health solutions and medical devices for intensive care units (ICUs). A spin-off from a leading German medical university, Clinomic focuses on integrating patient data, telemedicine, and AI-driven clinical decision support at the patient’s bedside. To accelerate their vision, Clinomic needed to expand their software, embedded, and DevOps teams to transition from MVP/prototype to production and wider scale. As the medical device industry demands exceptional quality, compliance, and reliability, the challenge was to build a high-performing team that could meet these rigorous standards.
Providing a Multidisciplinary, Scalable Team
To support Clinomic's ambitious goals, we provided a multidisciplinary team that peaked over 20 members, covering key areas such as backend Python development, frontend Angular development, embedded C engineering for device firmware and integration, DevOps engineering, UI/UX design, Scrum Master, and product management consulting. We supported Clinomic with both external team augmentation and recruiting to grow their internal teams, adjusting the team size dynamically based on development sprints, funding rounds, and project phases. Our team focused on building and extending the Patient Data Management System (PDMS) for digital ICUs, enabling the integration of real-time patient data, prescription management, medical device interfacing, and documentation. Additionally, we developed firmware and software for dedicated bedside smart devices, ensuring continuous integration, deployment, and maintenance of both the cloud backend and on-device software.
